Record Store Day’s Black Friday LPs Include Neil Young and Queen

Neil Young and Queen are among the classic rockers who will have special releases coming out on Record Store Day’s Black Friday celebration next month.

Young’s 1992 album, Harvest Moon, will get a special double-LP release for its 25th anniversary, while Queen’s 1977 single “We Will Rock You” / “We Are the Champions” sees a 12″ vinyl release for its 40th.

Also due on Nov. 24 are exclusive and limited-edition records by Blue Oyster Cult (Rarities Vol. 1 [1969-1976]), Cheap Trick (Christmas Christmas), the Doors (Absolutely Live) and Rush (“Closer to the Heart”).

We’ve highlighted the classic rock-related releases below, but you can see the full list of Record Store Day Black Friday 2017’s releases at the official site.

While April’s flagship event is Record Store Day’s best bet for snagging some hard-to-find vinyl, the November day-long sale is boasting plenty of exclusive items for collectors this year. There’s approximately 100 different releases available – from 12-inch picture discs and 7-inch vinyl to multi-LP sets and colored vinyl – including some holiday-related releases you don’t usually see in the spring.
